Recommended Process
As standard practice with any search assignment we undertake, there are five key stages:
1. Project Definition & Scope
The Search Consultant managing the assignment will meet with the client for a comprehensive brief including a detailed position description / role functionality / key objectives / position mandate, personality profile / specification and an agreed list of target companies to approach. At this stage in the process, consultants identify the critical business issues and challenges the candidate is most likely to encounter in the position.
2. Candidate Research
A list of relevant candidates will be provided to the client for review. These candidates are identified from our consultants’ professional networks, and through systematic research of target companies.
3. Presentation to Market
Once the candidate list has been approved from search and advertising, individuals will be approached and the opportunity will be presented. Approaching candidates is a critical activity, and is conducted by experienced consultants who have the ability to present the opportunity in a compelling way. Upon engagement with the candidate, our consultants are able to identify and address each concern through their understanding of the client and extensive knowledge of the industry. This is key in establishing credibility and trust where the candidate values our consultant’s insight and advice.
4. Selection of Potential Appointees
A comprehensive behavioural and competency based interview will take place and a full candidate report outlining personality profile / presentation, skill set and competencies, remuneration expectations and an overview on overall suitability to the specific role will be presented to the client for each candidate.
5. Selection & Appointment of Candidate
Thorough extensive reference checking and psychometric testing (if applicable) will be conducted before the contract and terms of employment are negotiated with the successful candidate. Our commitment is maintained at regular intervals following a hire to ensure the successful candidate continues to make a positive impact that exceeds our client’s expectations.
